The father: With a burning cigar between caving lips he carves into the soft flesh of the maple slab resting gently upon arthritic knees. His shaking hands dance across burned wood and yellowed walls with a dripping paintbrush, and a wet sponge. He can barely see his work, but he still carves. He can barely hold a brush, but still he paints. A Lack Of Something

Guitar is a failed attempt- better left behind. Writing is a major flaw that is never getting fixed. Flute is a growing pain, better left to die. Reading needs the concentration which I clearly lack. Music is a cruel noise that kills me inside out. Food is just a tool made to comfort, then to kill. Sleeping is a lovely gift that I cannot accept. Nightmares, the punnishment for all I don't deserve. And thoughts are haunting spirits that watch me 'till I die. Well.... That leaves me now with what?

Would you ever know the feeling, Of being twisted, over and over. Much like a string of high-tension cord; Ready to snap at any moment. You are barely controlling this swell of emotion. It is painful at times, Seeing those born with skill and talent. They paint such beautiful things, using the barest of material. Entire worlds are spun at their fingertips, all from a dot of paint. post-church rant

So I've just come back from church, which I am made to attend, even though I, myself, am agnoststic. Of course that means that I neither believe there is a god nor do I believe that the existence of a god is an impossibility. But anyways, I hate to see people with such closed minds that they shut out everyone with any kind of belief different from theirs. I think it's just wrong. But sadly, I see a lot of it. Alright, so I don't follow a religion (even though I used to be christain) but I do understand the bible. And even agree with certain parts of it! But... there are some parts I don't. And if you're going to ignore parts of a religion....
